Tony is a partner at Simon McAleese Solicitors.

Tony has a Law Degree from Trinity College Dublin and postgraduate qualifications from University College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology. He qualified as a Solicitor in Ireland in 1991 and is also admitted as a Solicitor in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Tony's principal areas of practice include Commercial Litigation, Defamation and Media Law, Employment Law and Personal Injury Law. He has appeared personally as an advocate at all levels of the Irish Courts and is regularly involved in high profile cases.

Tony has lectured on legal issues, written articles on legal topics for Ireland's national newspapers and features regularly as a legal commentator on Ireland's national and independent TV and radio stations. 

Tony has been recommended by The European Legal 500 Guide in the categories of Dispute Resolution, where he was described as "highly respected in the market", and Media and Entertainment, where he was described as "highly recommended".

Tony was named as 2010 Dublin Defamation Lawyer of the Year by BestLawyers.Com, publishers of an international peer-review survey of lawyers.
